The engine of this tool used a model whose licence allows non-commercial use only. We don’t take money for results from such a model, so we switched the tool off on 19 October 2026. Nobody is charged credits for it.
When will the tool return?
When we find an engine under a commercial licence and test it on real clips. We don’t give a date, because we don’t want to promise something we haven’t tested yet.
How do you keep this legal?
A face in a video is biometric data (GDPR art. 9) — we require an account and a recorded confirmation of rights to both materials. Creating misleading or harmful content is forbidden by the terms.
What can I use in the meantime?
Face swap in photos works on a different engine, with a likeness rights confirmation. For videos made from still photos you can also use the talking portrait or photo animation.
